EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR TEACHERS
Kaplan Tutoring Services/Kaplan Educational Programs offers programs for in-service professional development for experienced and novice teachers. These programs can vary in format, ranging from short discussions/demonstrations to full day programs.
A workshop which many English/Language Arts teachers will find useful is “Ensuring Student Preparation for Standardized Tests.” Many high school students find the SAT and ACT tests particularly challenging, because their vocabularies are weak, they have forgotten the grammar rules, and they have never handwritten a timed (25 minute) in-class essay. In this workshop, teachers will learn what they can do to help alleviate this situation
